May 2025: Musethica Session in Zaragoza
From May 10th to 17th, 2025, a new Musethica session took place in Zaragoza. Over the course of the week, 12 concerts were performed—10 in various social institutions across Zaragoza and La Almunia de Doña Godina, and two open to the general public.
For the first time, the featured ensemble was a guitar quartet composed of the young musicians Nikica Polegubić (Croatia), Lotti Szalai (Hungary), and Stoyan Paskov (Spain), accompanied and coached by Montenegrin guitarist and tutor Goran Krivokapić.
The program featured a diverse repertoire, including works by Isaac Albéniz, Carlos Guastavino, Enrique Granados, Maurice Ravel, Manuel de Falla, Gabriel Fauré, and others.
The public concerts were held at the Rock & Blues Café on Tuesday, May 13th, and at the Sala Luis Galve of the Auditorio de Zaragoza on Saturday, May 17th. The ten concerts in social institutions took place in collaboration with several local institutions and organizations: the ADISPAZ Association of La Almunia de Doña Godina, the San José "SocioLaboral" Center, the “Entabán” Therapeutic Community of Proyecto Hombre, Fundación Secretariado Gitano, Betania Residence, the AFDA Association, CEIP Julián Sanz Ibáñez (hosting two concerts), the San Ezequiel Moreno Foundation, and the "Aula Hospitalaria" at Miguel Servet Hospital.
This session was part of the project ‘1000+ Concerts: Innovating Higher Music Education through Social Inclusion’ co-funded by the European Union.
