Musethica Returns to Warsaw for the Fourth Time
The 13th Sinfonia Varsovia Academy took place in Warsaw from November 19th to 23rd, 2024. Performing alongside tutors Avri Levitan (viola) and Alexander Gebert (cello) were young musicians, primarily participants in the 13th Sinfonia Varsovia Academy:
Wiktoria Błaszczak, Julia Charmuszko, Igor Makarski, Nazar Plyska (violin)
Emanuel Ogrodniczek, Michał Wieczerzak (viola)
Wojciech Bafeltowski, Alexandra Rosol, Jagna Słocińska (violoncello)
The concert program includes Johannes Brahms’ String Sextet No. 2 in G Major, Op. 36 and Franz Schubert’s String Quintet in C Major, D.956, along with a selection of other chamber works chosen by the participants.
This year, Musethica visited various Social institutions across Warsaw—in Białołęka, Bielany, Mokotów, Ochota, Praga-Południe, and Wawer—as well as nearby towns Laski and Józefów. Concert venues include:

The close contact between young artists and listeners and the chance to exchange impressions after the concerts allows both sides to feel the unique power of music—and of art more broadly—as a means of communication and emotional expression. The project changes how both audiences and performers think about music.
“Music opens people up to emotions that other therapeutic tools cannot reach,” says art therapist Wioletta Rybczyk, highlighting the therapeutic and cognitive value of the project.
Two concerts were open to the general public, including the final concert on November 23rd at the Nowa Miodowa concert hall.
