Inaugural Session at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH)
From March 24th to 29th, 2025, a Musethica Session took place in Stockholm, Sweden, and in the course of 1000+ Concerts, for the first time in collaboration with the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH). The session featured both public and concerts in social institutions, performed by a group of talented young musicians under tutor and violinist Mats Zetterqvist.
Over the course of the week, the ensemble – composed of Josef Andersson (violin), Ivan Penjin (viola), Joe Griffin (viola), and Hedvig Bengtsson (violoncello) – performed Mozart’s String Quintet No. 6 in E-flat major, K. 614, and Brahms’ String Quintet No. 2 in G major, Op. 111.
The majority of performances were held in non-traditional venues across the Stockholm area, including preschools, schools for students with special needs, a correctional facility (Österåkeranstalten), elderly care homes, and group residences. The session concluded with a public concert on March 29th in the Milsteinsalen at the Royal College of Music.
