Autumn Edition of Musethica at ESMUC

The Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) hosted the eighth edition of the Musethica Programme, bringing classical music closer to diverse audiences often excluded from traditional concert circuits.

The session took place from October 6th to 10th, 2025, and the final concert was held on Saturday, October 11th, at Sala 4 Alicia de Larrocha L’Auditori.

We welcomed Helena Satué, violin professor at ESMUC, as the tutor for this concert week who accompanied and coached the selected violinists: Bárbara Martínez, Diego Elía, Martí Bravo, and Paula Ros.

The social concerts formed a vital part of the students' academic development. The goal is to spread high-quality classical music and make it accessible to communities who, for various reasons, may not have easy access to this art form. Social institutions included:

  • Associació Intercultural Diàleg de Dona

  • Fundació Privada Bayt al-Thaqafa

  • Residència Josep Miracle

  • Centre Fòrum (Parc de Salut Mar)

  • Day Hospital for Children and Adolescents (Parc de Salut Mar)

  • Can Serra Residence for People with Intellectual Disabilities

  • Montserrat Beltriu Residence

  • Mercat dels Encants de Barcelona

The project collaborated with Apropa Cultura in selecting the participating centers.

As part of the Musethica activities, on Friday, October 10th, the seminar "The Art of Practicing", led by Helena Satué, was held in the Victoria de los Ángeles Hall at ESMUC. In the seminar, Helena Satué explored topics related to individual practice and effective concert preparation with 20+ interested students.
