New Audio Series: ”Live from the Social Institutions”
A new way to experience 1000+ Concerts is here: the first audio recordings of the new series “Live from the Social Institutions” are now available to stream.
The music, the venues, the moment a musician walks into an unexpected space — these unique concert experiences take place in hospitals, day centres, correctional facilities, and schools in underserved areas. They capture more than the music itself, revealing the interaction between musicians and audiences and the reactions of listeners as the music unfolds. The audio recordings marking the start of the series took place at three locations across Spain and Austria.
On 22 May 2026, a recording was made at Centro Sociolaboral Fundación Ozanam (San Pablo), a Social Integration and Employment Centre in Zaragoza, Spain.
Earlier, on 19 March 2026, a recording took place at the psychiatric ward of Royo Villanova Hospital in Zaragoza, with performances for patients receiving mental health treatment.
The first recording in Austria took place on 12 November 2025 at Cape10 in Vienna, a social centre providing healthcare, education and opportunities for participation to children at risk of social exclusion.
These newly released 1000+ Concerts streaming series offer a glimpse into music performances in places under the radar of public attention. The recordings are available on the project website, the 1000+ Concerts YouTube channel, and —coming soon— on Spotify and AppleMusic.
